It’s always an amazing feeling to have achieved the Stampin’ Up! Incentive Trip after working so hard, but it isn’t until some happy mail arrives that it starts to feel real and the countdown really begins! The courier turned up at my door today with a special parcel.
My first instinct was to grab a knife, and yell “IT’S HERE, IT’S HEEEEERRRRRREEEEE!!!!!!” while attacking the box to spill its guts as quickly as I could…but no… I calmly and with the tiny little bit of self control that I possess, sliced carefully into the tape, and resisting instinct to rip the pretty blue tissue into a million pieces of confetti, I took a breath and photo.
I carefully peeked under the Tempting Turquoise tissue to find:
A gorgeous travel wallet stuffed full of travel details about the most exciting time of the year!!!
And that’s when it hit home! It’s really really real! We’re going back to the US, AND on a Western Caribbean Cruise with a wonderful group of Stampin’ Up! demonstrators, their families, Stampin’ Up! staff and Shelli! And we leave NEXT MONTH!
I still can not believe where Stampin’ Up! has taken us over the past years, the friendships I’ve made, the wonderful people I’ve met and this holiday is really just the cream topping on the totally amazing trifle that Stampin’ Up! is. Which is ironic as I hate trifle… so maybe I should say it’s like a parfait or a smoothie – where there are so many ingredients that makes the whole experience just wonderful…. The workshop hostesses who open their homes and share Stampin’ Up! with their friends, the wonderful people who attend workshops and classes and have fun stamping and having some “me time”, the customers who love getting some fun products to play with, the women (and Martyn) who join our amazing team of demonstrators and of course my amazing family who help with preparations, babysitting and put up with me when I’m most stressed! I love it all and I never expected when I joined, that Stampin’ Up! was going to be more than some stamps and ink!
Well I must get back to stamping. I have a big weekend of events. Friday night is my next Stamp A Stack – there’s a few places spare if you’d like to come along:
And I’m holding my first Mini Retreats on the weekend (places are full). So I have lots to get organised and a big stamping mess to tidy up too. I hope you are all getting some time to do what you enjoy!!!
