Stamp Room cupboards with My Digital Studio

I’ve been wanting to replace the wall cupboards in my stamping room for a while and finally came across the perfect ones.  As both our wood and clear mount stamps are so easily stored and you can purchase empty clear mount and wood mount cases to store any other items your heart desires, I wanted shallow cupboards perfect for these.  My first thought was to get just the shelving but I’m not a fan of open storage, and after seeing them on display in Ikea, I decided to get the doors as well.  I didn’t want all flat white doors, and the other option was doors with a glass panel through the middle…. but then you’d see the mess stamping supplies inside!   And then a little brain wave hit!

The wall in my stamp room was painted Baja Breeze – I had the paint colour matched from the Stampin’ Up! cardstock (now retired).  So my idea was to use My Digital Studio to make a panel of Designer Series Paper to fit the glass panel of the door.  I chose to use the Elegant Soiree Designer Series Paper download in MDS.  I checked the sizes Harvey Norman printed that would fit my doors and worked out I needed to use the Poster size of 20″X 24″” – I wanted them printed professionally, using photo paper and the width of the doors (60cm) meant they were a little too big to print at home. I also discovered it was a little too big for them to print in store, so submitted my order online (and they were having a 50% off sale! yay), and within 7 days I was able to collect them, cut them up and I now have pretty striped panels on my doors which co ordinate with my stamp room perfectly!  And the wonderful thing is, that when I get bored of this design, I can easily change it!

The room is still a work in progress, but so far the storage is exactly what I need and I have plenty of space for classes!

I have a wonderful husband who spent lots of time putting up the cupboards, making sure they were straight and wouldn’t fall off the wall! I think he’s hoping I don’t visit Ikea again any time soon!

Hi there, all I can say is I wish I lived in Brisbane, I love what you have done to your room, it looks amazing. The thought and detail to marry together the Stampin Up colours, shows you have true passion. My daughter lives in Brisbane and I would love to get the chance to come and visit for a course one day.
    Cheers
