Cheers to You! For any occasion!

Monday, March 4th, 2013

Cheers to you is one of my favourite stamp sets.  It’s just so cute and versatile and I do love a good cocktail!

The other day I changed a card I’d made last Christmas into a Birthday card… I actually just realised I never posted the Christmas card, so here it is as well!

(Gumball Green, Raspberry Ripple & Silver Glimmer Paper)

And as a birthday card:

(Pink Pirouette, Silver Glimmer Paper and Primrose Petal Core’dinations Card)

Such a versatile stamp set!  Would be great to scrapbook that last girls night out too!

Holly turns 6! Owl themed!

Monday, August 29th, 2011

It’s been very busy around here.  After Jasmine’s birthday was my wonderful hubby’s big 40 which we celebrated with a camping adventure.  It was heaps of fun as various family and friends joined us.  Then this weekend was my baby’s birthday.  Well she’s not a baby any more… I can’t believe she turned 6!  Her party was heaps of fun to plan and she decided on an owl theme!  I’ll post some piccies below… just click on them to view them bigger.  There’s a few sneak peaks in there of NEW products that will be in the NEW idea Book & Catalogue which launches on September 1st.  Can you see what the new items may be?

Don’t forget I have two launch events if you are local to the Brisbane area, you may like to come along!  Check out the details HERE  or if you are outside the Brisbane area and would like to order the new catalogue, you can do so HERE.  And so here’s some pics for you:

My Gorgeous birthday girl:

The “party table”:

Owl Pops in decorated stand – I was a little disappointed with these, but it was simply a issue of running out of time and throwing them together :(

Owl Nests:

Drink glasses with initials:

Some table decorations:… Can you guess the new product?

Tissue Poms:

“Holly” Banner:

Cupcakes – Another sneak peak of new products:

All the decorations are handmade by me using 99% Stampin’ Up!  The only things not SU are the buttons on the milk bottles & Tissue Poms (check out how to make them HERE).  I’ve also been asked many times since Jasmine’s Birthday about the cake pops.  There are heaps of places and recipe books for them, but I loved the idea of “Oreo Pops”  They taste AMAZING!  You can check them out HERE

Stampin’ Up! Supplies used:  Colours:  Regal Rose, Baja Breeze, Chocolate Chip & So Saffron. Products:  Two step Owl Punch, Island Floral Bigs Die (flowers), and coming soon – Perfect Pennants Bigs Die & Petite Pennants Builder Punch.

Jasmine Turns 8 with Butterflies

Sunday, August 7th, 2011

August is the beginning of Birthday season in our house.  Everyone, bar myself has their birthday in either August or October.  So we began with Jasmine who turned 8 on the 1st.  This year I (crazily) promised her a party at home and then proceeded to get a little carried away with the planning and decorating.  I have to say though that I totally enjoyed it all and not only made all of the decorations, but also made my very first cake pops and decorated cookies!  Jasmine wanted her party to be a “crafty party” so I also prepared some activities for the girls, they made candle votives, door hangers and money boxes.  We picked three colours to carry over from invitation to decorations – Rose Red, Baja Breeze and Perfect Plum.

Party invitation went with the “crafty party theme” courtesy of Tote-ally Tess stamp set.

Then for the decorations it was butterflies galore! (look at the end of the post for a list of supplies used)

you can click on the thumbnails above for a better look.  There’s decorated bubbles bottles, cupcake toppers (handpainted with Shimmer paint), cake pops with decorated stand,

my first ever decorated cookies, mini milk bottles with decorated paper straws, some of my paper pom poms and “Jasmine” Banner.  We also had lots of little party foods with butterfly placecards.

It’s hard to believe that Jasmine’s 8 already!  My little tornado child who walked at 9 months and proceeded to get into as much trouble as possible. :)

Well now you can see what I’ve been up to lately!  And to think I get to do it all again at the end of the month with an Owl theme this time! (and not to mention my dear hubby’s birthday before then!)

Supplies used:

118138 Beautiful Wings Embosslit Die, 114507 Beautiful Butterflies Bigz Die, Circle & Scallop Circle punches, 116854 Frost White Shimmer Paint,  117152 Subtles Designer Series Paper Stack, 113483 Pennant Die, 115960 Simple Letters Alphabet Die.  Rose Red, Baja Breeze & Perfect Plum Cardstock.  All Supplies from Stampin’ Up!

A little bling?

Thursday, July 21st, 2011

Oops… I did miss a day there!  This project is another make and take from retreat recently.  It was a project I found online and thought it was so cute!  The earrings are created from the Stampin’ Up! Rhinestone Brads, a couple of jump rings and earring fastening.   Pretty cool and so easy!

And make a little gift box to display.  A simple match box made from Designer Series Paper works well!

I’ve been busy preparing for the beginning of birthday season in our house!  We have an 8th Birthday party in just over a weeks time and crazily, I’ve made the invitations as well as decorations and the party is a “crafty party”  so there’s projects to prep as well!  Can’t wait to share all of those projects with you!  (I will be back before then)

Hello Blossom

Sunday, July 17th, 2011

Today’s card is using another cute stamp from the Autumn/Winter mini catalogue.  It’s a great little single stamp for only $13.95.  You can use the stamp in so many ways, and this one obviously covers up the word hello with the circle punches.  Colours are Tangerine Tango, Real Red & Old Olive.

Cupcakes

Saturday, July 16th, 2011

One of my favourite things from the current Autumn/Winter Mini Catalogue is the Build  A Cupcake Punch.  It occured to me that this mini catalogue finishes in just 2 weeks!  So if you’d like this punch or it’s matching stamp set, make sure you order them very soon!  Here’s a card I’ve made for some recent workshops.  It’s a great card that can be used for anyone or any age, and the same layout can be used in many different ways.

I do love covering the top of the cupcake with glitter, but I also like adding a litte “frosting” (everytime I think of that word I think of Matthew McConaughey in How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days LOL) using the Tombow Glue.

Do check back each day this week!  I’ve finally photographed many of my recent projects and scheduled them all this week so there’s a new post for you each day!  You may also like to check out our coming events as I’ve updated that as well.  And remember the fantastic special special this month you can check out here.

I have been stamping I promise.. + July Special.

Friday, July 1st, 2011

Well thankfully Telstra have finally got me reconnected with the world.  What a huge hassel!  All started when we added an extra mobile phone to our bundled account and in traditional Telstra fashion they stuffed everything up after that! Agh!  The downside to having everything with the one company..EVERTHING crashed!   But all orders went in by last night, and I’ve already had shipment confirmations tonight!  Way to go Stampin’ Up!  So if anyone ordered anything it’ll be on it’s way!

Now I still can’t show you anything just yet, as the projects I’ve been working on are for retreat next weekend….but I can prove to you that I have been busy…though I’m a little embarrased to share with you this pic…  It’s of my work space, or lack of it at the moment…. you’ll see what I mean…

This is one corner of my stamping room… the corner in which I sit and work… see!  I have been busy! ROFL!!!!  It’s the worst it’s been for a while, and I have to get it cleaned up soon as that tiny little white bit of desktop you can see… it’s just too small to stamp on now..oh and the mess extends to the floor and all the bench space you can’t see as well!

Now July brings a new Stampin’ Up! special, and if you’re still with me after all my rambling, you’ll be pleased to know that every order over $100 for July will receive a FREE GIFT!!!  It’s a super cute bundle of buttons and ribbon!

The colours used at Daffodil Delight, Melon Mambo, Pacific Point, (and Old Olive in the ribbon).  You get 13.7m of ribbon and 48 Buttons!  You can see more details HERELet me know if you’d like to place an order and it’ll be sent direct to you anywhere in Australia!

Have a great weekend everyone!
