Drawer Gift Box

Friday, July 30th, 2010

I just wanted to share with you, another lovely pressie I was given at convention this year.  This was from Lyn and I fell in love with it right away!  It’s many things!  A lovely gift box:

With 4 drawers that Lyn filled with goodies:

She’s decorated it beautifully using Rich Razzleberry and the Cottage Wall DSP.  And the other clever thing is that if you undo the ribbon, the top opens up into the card!  She’s so clever and lives on the Gold Coast if you are in that area!  I felt so honoured that she thought of me, and like I said I just loved it!

Well that’s it from me today!  Keep your eye peeled over the weekend!  Very exciting things happening,  Saturday night at midnight, the Stampin’ Up! ”Last Chance” list will be announced… these are all the stamp sets that will not be going into the next Catalogue (starting Sept 1st) and so the items on this list will be avilable only while stocks last… So check back as I’m sure I’ll be here at midnight tomorrow night posting that list for you! (Well I’ll be home from celebrating my daughter’s 7th birthday so I’m not waiting up just for the list…. or am I? heheh)

Simply Scrappin’ Kit Mini Purse.

Thursday, July 29th, 2010

I received so many lovely gifts at convention this year and one was a gorgeous Mini Purse from my good friend Trish.  I loved the concept and so Trish passed on the instructions she had  for the purse so I could make my own!  Here’s the one Trish gave me.. It was full of goodies, decorated to co ordinate of course!

I decided to use the Simply Scrappin Kit – Sunny Day for my purse!  It’s a bright and cheery kit and I love the papers and die cuts in it!  This kit is from the current Autumn/Winter Mini catalogue, and the pics of these kits in the catalogues never do them justice!  There’s so much in them and they’re always so much prettier than the pictures in the catalogues show.  So here’s my Mini Purse:

I made it for my best friend Jenny who’s birthday it is on Sunday, hence the “j” on the flower.

I actually made a little purse for Trish for convention as well (though I forgot to take a pic), but it also had a ribbon handle and before putting the ribbon onto the purse I sprayed it with hair spray which stiffened the ribbon beautifully.  I would have done that to this purse if an unnamed 10 yo hadn’t decided to use the rest of my hairpray up for a recent school disco LOL..  Anyway just a tip I thought you may like!

Oh and check back tomorrow!  I’ve actually sceduled another post!  I know… hard to believe! LOL

Team Get Together

Thursday, May 20th, 2010

Another fantastic thing about convention, is being able to catch up with our team members!  We planned a get together for this afternoon and I wanted to make a little gift for each team member who attended.  This is what I came up with ( thanks to Kay), a little box for each person, with their initial on the front.  Here they are all packed up in a nice sturdy box, ready to go into my luggage (let’s hope they survive the trip down).

Each box has a belly band, that when you take them off, reveals some decorated chocolates!

I’ve used to Cottage Garden Designer Series Paper to decorate the boxes as well as the colours Rich Razzleberry, Old Olive and Orchid Oppulence.

Room Mate Gifts

Thursday, May 20th, 2010

A little tradition of attending our Stampin’ Up! conventions, is to make your room mate a little gift!  This year I’m excited to be sharing with Chrissie, Tina and Alice!  So here’s what I made them…. These are long cylindar tins which I decorated for each of them using their favourite Designer Series Papers!  Again you can click on the pics to see them bigger:

First Tina’s, Using Bella Blue Designer Series Paper:

Next was Alice’s in Bella Rose:

And finally Chrissie’s in Raspberry Tart:

And what’s inside?…. well Chocolate of course!  :)   I hope the girls like them!

I’m back…

Thursday, April 22nd, 2010

So it’s been quiet here AGAIN! LOL  Lots been happening.  Firstly, one of my children who will remain unnamed (though if you know my kids you’ll be able to guess who) managed to kill my laptop.  Thankfully my hard drive was saved (phew) but all my old emails were lost :(   But we’re back on track with a new laptop and I’m in the process of re organising my files and pics etc.  Then we headed off to Melbourne for the Easter Break with my husband’s entire family!  It was a great week and the kids had a ball together with their  cousins.  Very exciting news also came that week about a ”renovation” of the Stampin’ Up! Colour families! (It was very flattering to find how many demonstrators thought of me and rang to share the info knowing I was on holidays!)  I’ll add the links to link at the end of the post.  Then the NEXT weekend was our Stampin’ & Scrappin’ Retreat weekend!  Phew!  That was again an awesome weekend away.  So here I have two of the make and takes from the weekend.  As well as a couple of the girls hard at work!

First this is a little Scallop Circle Flower Gift Bag!  Very cute and easy to make.

And Celia very excited by hers!

And next was a card using a great new set from our Autumn/Winter Mini Catalogue called Fox & Friends.  See the “dotty” background.  That’s made with our Polka Dot Embossing Folder and our Big Shot!  I like this so much I think I’ll make some extras as swaps at our coming Stampin’ Up! convention!

And me with my mum!

And we’re all set to do it again this October!  It’s on the Halloween weekend and there’s just 3 spaces remaining!  And today I have opened bookings for our first retreat next year - March 25th – 27th.  Let me know if you’d like to come along!

Finally.  The new “Colour Collections” that will launch in our New Idea Book & Catalouge in September this year.  Here’s a list of all the colours that are GOING!  That means if you have the ink pads, it may be a good idea to order the re inker and/or cardstock now while you can!  And if you don’t have them, get in now!

Well this was a rather long post… hoping to make up for my absence! :)   I do have quite a few more projects to show you and I’ll schedule them to pop up over the next few days!  So make sure you check back!

Happy New Mini Catalogue!

Sunday, April 4th, 2010

Okay, I’m a little slow, but we have a New Mini Catalogue which started April 1st!  It’s the MOST EXCITING Mini we’ve had yet!  There are just so many new things inside, that you really should book a workshop to see it all for yourself!  :)   We have the Big Shot Machine with AWESOME dies that will change your life!!  Well, maybe not, but it will make crafting a lot more fun!   The new stamp sets are not only beautiful, but you now have the option of ordering them as traditional wood mounted stamp sets, or Clear Mount Rubber stamps (saving you $$).  Our new punches have been redesigned to make storage a DREAM!  As I said, sheck it out as there’s just so much there!  Here’s the online copy or contact me and I’ll post you a copy for FREEEEEE!!!

Yes I know it’s been a while since I shared a project but time has been getting away from me again, and without my trust laptop I’m still a little lost!   Lucky my hubby’s lending me his, as the kids and I are off to Melbourne tomorrow with my sister in laws and their kids!  There’ll be 12 of us on the plane so maybe it’s best to avoid that one if you’re heading to Melbourne early tomorrow!  My hubby joins us on Friday so it’s just me and the kids (an the extended fam) for the week to do some sightseeing!  But you can still place your orders or email me with questions or whatever, as I’ll be on email of an evening…

So FINALLY here’s a little project idea for you!  It’s a little Easter Basket which of course can be for any occasion.  It’s made using the Scallop Envelop Die and the Big Shot.  There’s 4 Scallop Envelopes cut and stuck together to make the basket and and a little handle added.   I’ve added some weaved patteren paper (Tea Party Designer Series Paper pack),  and the flower on the front is made using our circle punches and patterened papers from the same pack, distressed and layerd with a button to finish it off!  And don’t forget the gorgeous leaves!  They’re also one of our new products… Little Leaves Sizzlit Die, which cuts them!  Hope you enjoy the project, and I will hopefully have another new project to show you this week….. Hope you all had a lovely Easter…  I better get to bed, must be up at 4am!  Bleh! :)

Gift Bags..

Wednesday, December 2nd, 2009

With Christmas coming, packaging gifts often needs to be quick and easy.  I made a couple of other gifts for last weekend and these bags were perfect to package them in.  They come plain white, from an art and craft shop and they’re made out of this fabric/material stuff, but it’s light and DO NOT try to heat set or emboss any ink onto them as they will melt immediately! ;)   You can see the fabric better in the last pic.  I stamped directly onto them with our Classic Ink pads, and used the Cropodile to add some holes for ribbon and a rhinestone brad to hold the bag closed.  Then a little tag as well!  Easy and very cute!

The first one was a little gift for one of our team members who promoted to Supervisor just last week!  I added a few goodies from our Stampin’ Up! Momento Mall at convention this year…  I used the Priceless stamp set to stamp with:

Next was a little gift for a fellow Demonstrator with some Body Shop goodies inside…  This time decorated with the Flower Fancy set:

Gift for Chrissie!

Monday, November 30th, 2009

Well I must apologize for the break in transmission!  These glitches always happen on Friday afternoons when they can’t be rectified till Monday! LOL  So here’s the piccies I tried to post Friday…

This is a little pressie I made for one of my team members Chrissie who promoted to Snr Supervisor recently!  Decorated a gift bag for her goodies:

chris01

I decorated a letter C with Chrissies favourite Designer Series Paper – Raspberry Tart.  The “C” is from Splosh and I love their letters as they’re chunky.

And next I decorated a note book for her also.  The alphabet stamps are the jumb outline set.

I have a few more things to show you so make sure you check back tomorrow!!
