Stamp With Kim

As soon as I saw the Designer Series Paper in the Sale A Bation brochure I fell in love with it!  Just gorgeous!  An Ikea Shadow from waiting on my craft desk to be decorated, so I popped in my fav sheet of this DSP as soon as I received my order!  It sat like that for a while and I admired the paper daily… until I realised how easy it was to finish off!  By using the picture in the Sale A Bration brochure as inspiration!  I added the same butterfly panel that’s in the brochure and here’s the finished result!:

The scallop square and the butterfly were both cut from our chipboard and cardstock to add some dimension and the Poppy Parade butterfly has been embossed with clear embossing powder with one of the images from the Fresh Vintage SAB stamp set:

I love how easy it was to co ordinate everything in this project!  And that’s always one of the fabulous things about Stampin’ Up!  – that everything co ordinates so simply.

Well thankfully Telstra have finally got me reconnected with the world.  What a huge hassel!  All started when we added an extra mobile phone to our bundled account and in traditional Telstra fashion they stuffed everything up after that! Agh!  The downside to having everything with the one company..EVERTHING crashed!   But all orders went in by last night, and I’ve already had shipment confirmations tonight!  Way to go Stampin’ Up!  So if anyone ordered anything it’ll be on it’s way!

Now I still can’t show you anything just yet, as the projects I’ve been working on are for retreat next weekend….but I can prove to you that I have been busy…though I’m a little embarrased to share with you this pic…  It’s of my work space, or lack of it at the moment…. you’ll see what I mean…

This is one corner of my stamping room… the corner in which I sit and work… see!  I have been busy! ROFL!!!!  It’s the worst it’s been for a while, and I have to get it cleaned up soon as that tiny little white bit of desktop you can see… it’s just too small to stamp on now..oh and the mess extends to the floor and all the bench space you can’t see as well!

 Now for a piccie!  Each evening at convention I like to leave a little pillow gift for my room mates!  I found at Coles these little tiny bars of Dove Soap.  I love anything miniture, so thought I’d decorate these somehow as a pillow gift.  I used some Play Date patterned paper and then went searching for a stamp to use on it!  Was a little happy to find a stamp in the Teeny Tiny Sentiments stamp set that went perfectly!  Add a matching Old Olive washer  and I thought it turned out very cute!

Wow, I’m so sorry!  I just realised tonight that it’s been over a month since I’ve updated here!  Wow time’s flown, and I have kept meaning to come back in here, but each day’s just slipped away!  We’ve had our retreat and lots of end of year things happening, and this Friday my kids finish school for the year!  I’m so looking foward to it, but I’m just a little sad as my “baby” finishes kindy and joins her big sisters and brother at big school next year, and I can’t help but tear up everytime I think that we won’t have kindy in our lives any more, and after 11 years, I won’t have a little person at home with me anymore!!!  A new chapter in our lives I suppose, but a sad reminder that the kids are growing very quickly…. Anyhoooo… on to stuff you actually want to hear about hey!
