Our Stampin’ Up! Conventions are called “On Stage” events and are rotated between the US, Europe & Australia. While the large three day event is on in one of these locations, smaller events happen simultaneously all over the world! We were so lucky to have our large event here in Brisbane!! And just as exciting, we had some lovely demonstrators join us, all the way from the US and Germany!
Robyn attended all the way from Utah, USA! I was thrilled to be able to pick up Robyn from the airport on Tuesday night, before showing her some sites around Brisbane the next day. We of course had to stop into Lone Pine to visit with the animals – my Kangaroo selfie didn’t go too well – You don’t want to see the photo that followed the one below! haha
You can pop over to Robyn’s blog at My Pink Stamper for some of her Aussie highlights and of course some amazing stamping projects! She’s just gorgeous and you’ll love watching her videos!
I put together a welcome pack of Aussie goodies for a couple of our International visitors, an Aussie, special edition Stampin’ Up! Collapsable bin (Contact me if you’d like one for just $10) was perfect to hold an array of Australian “delicacies” And our Day at The Beach stamp set was perfect to decorate the tag..
Thursday afternoon saw our event begin and that evening was a special dinner for demonstrators at Silver Elite level and above. We were spoilt with an amazing bag and new stamp set!
The best part of On Stage is catching up with so many demonstrator friends!
It’s great to catch up with team members from all around, who I don’t get to see often! And local demonstator friends Liz & Bec.
And of course one of the other fantastic things about our On Stage events are that we get to see and take home a copy of the NEW Mini Catalogue before anyone else! This Occasions & Sale a Bration Mini will begin on January 4th and I’ll have copies to post out mid December. Let me know HERE if you’d like a copy! (If you’ve ordered from me in the past then you’ll receive a copy as soon as possible too). Aren’t they so pretty!
I was also very surprised to receive a few different awards over the weekend. I actually forgot where I came in two of the categories – they were for team building and leadership and on the same day they announced the top demonstrators in Australia and I was shocked to find out I came in at number 3 in Australia!
I grabbed a couple of piccies this year with Stampin’ Up!’s CEO Sara and the amazing Shannon!
On top of awards, our second day was filled with demonstrations of new products, learning and seeing new project ideas! Check out some of these amazing sneak peaks…
2016 was also the 10 year anniversary of Stampin’ Up! in Australia – I can’t believe how fast these 10 years have gone and how much fun and friendship we’ve packed into that time!
My other…. well I don’t think I’d call it a highlight, as I was trembling in my boots – but I had been asked to prepare a business presentation – that’s me all alone on the stage in front of 600+ demonstrators! Those 20 minutes went fast enough and I was able to get back into the audience which is a much better place to be! 🙂
The final day Stampin’ Up! announced the top 100 demonstrators in the WORLD! Out of 45,000 demonstrators, the top 100 are announced…. and I again was shocked to come in at number 90! Stampin’ Up! truly is an amazing opportunity!
I have left out our Stampin’ Up! Team Fun Night which I held on the second evening but I’ll pop back tomorrow to share that part as I’ve rambled on enough for now. It’s always so hard to show highlights of Stampin’ Up! events – there’s just so much going on, I never remember to take enough photos (I’m always talking too much!), plus there’s just so much that we pack into the days we have. And there’s never just one great thing about Stampin’ Up! events – it’s really the whole experience – the other demonstrators, the Stampin’ Up! staff, new products, prizes, being spoilt and of course some time away from household chores. It’s all just parts of why SU events are so amazing! If you’d like to join us take a look HERE
Well I’m off to bed. I’ve been staring at the computer way too much over the past few days…. I have something exciting coming soon and I’ve spent every spare moment working on it. So stay tuned!
