Well the first thing I want to share with you today is the fabulous special Stampin’ Up! have until June 30th! Host a workshop (or catalogue party) from now until June 30th and for all workshops (or individual orders, or catalogue party orders) over $450, the hostess will receive an EXTRA $70 to spend in hostess benefits! What a great excuse to get a few friends together and have a fun morning, afternoon or evening of stamping and socialising! Make sure you contact me now to reserve your date, and I’ll send you a catalogue, mini catalogue and invitations and/or order forms to make your workshop a success! You can let me know of any techniques you’d like to learn, or I can surprise you! Looking forward to hearing from you!
Now I still have so much to share from convention! I haven’t gotten back to show you more of my swaps so here’s another I made to swap with other demonstators at convention:
This one used the stamp set – Greenhouse Garden. I love this stamp set! You can click the piccie to make it bigger so you can see it a little better. This swap ended up a little more complicated than I originally planned, it’s one of those cards that you just keep adding to after imagining a very simple design…. Can you see the different techniques used? There’s Versamark ink background, sponging, spritzing, masking, crimping, 2 step stamping, phew…. see what I mean! It was supposed to be a simple layered card with a couple of flowers! LOL
I’ll scedule another post for tomorrow showing you another of my swaps which was the swap I made for our team… But before I go, here’s a couple of piccies from convention as well:
This piccie is the very beginning of Stampin’ Up! Convention 2011! Check out how cool the stage was! Giant stamps! Giant edges bordering the stage! And Cate, Claire, Janette and Ana(hiding) treated us to a very fun song and dance to kick things off!
Myself with Genelle, Jenny, Chrissie and Mandy at Manager’s Reception. Stampin’ Up! put on a special evening for all Demonstrators who are Managers and above. We get treated to yummy food and drink and funy socialising as well a a very special pressie of a brand new stamp set that will be in the coming Idea Book & Catalogue in Sept. I’m not allowed to show you the set just yet!
The other fun aspect of convention (Other than the stamping) is catching up with other team members and demonstrator friends over a cocktail or two (or three or four hehe). We were lucky to have cocktail Happy Hour in our hotel bar one night!
Convention itself isn’t all business talks and stamping either! We got to try out for a super stamping style Minute to Win it Game Show!
All the “challenges” were stamping theme related….by that I mean, they didn’t need to stamp but they were somehow related to stamping… The beautiful Jenni Oliver plays hard (getting a cookie from her forehead into her mouth without touching it) And Derek our game show host:
Well that’s enough for now. I’ll be back tomorrow with awards night piccies and the other swaps I promised…
(Karen are you happy I’ve updated now? hahahaha)
