So I’m back to share with you, what I’ve been up to this week! I was one of Stampin’ Up! demonstrators who earned this year’s Incentive Trip to Hamilton Island and on Wednesday we flew straight into Hamilton Island to begin our adventure! The view from our room is amazing!
All the rooms of the3 hotel look out over the ocean and it’s been such a beautiful sight to wake up to each morning! Stampin’ Up! have a whole “hospitality room” set up that demonstrators can visit, spin the prize wheel each day, have a chat, hang out and snack on a few yummy treats!:
Day one saw us meet up with lots of friends, and attend a gorgeous dinner at the Outrigger. You can check out Marelle’s blog to see a couple of funny pics of the dinner… And in my defence, the possum ran UNDER the table we were having dinner at! 🙂 As cute as possums are…Who would leave their feet under there?? LOL
We came back to our rooms to fine a waterproof bag with waterproof cameras and snacks for the following day’s adventure, along with this poem…( you can click to see it bigger)
The next morning we headed to the Hamilton Island Marina where we jumped on board the Fantasea for an (interesting) trip to the outer Barrier Reef! Here are a few of us on board:
It was a rather rough day and I’ll just say that many passengers did not fare well and to put it mildly, a lovely aroma wafted around the boat which the staff attempted to mask by scraping lemons into the air vents.. When one of the staff saw Yvonne with an orange, they offered her a fork, which she thankfully accepted and then pomptly took to her orange with gusto!
Oh the poor orange.
We did have a wonderful day snorkling around the reef, though the photos on the waterproof disposable camera will have to be developed the traditional way, so I don’t have any pics to post of the gorgeous fish and corals we saw! And I will not post pics of us in the GORGEOUS stinger suits we got to wear that day! Let’s just say they were not only unflattering/faded shades of pink and blue, but they also left NOTHING to the imagination! 🙂
We arrived home a little tired to find a little pressie on our bed! A gorgeous tin with supplies for the make and take session the following morning..
I can’t show you the stamp set hidden in the bottom as it’s from the coming Summer Mini Catalogue, but I can tell you it’s super cute and I couldn’t wait to use it the following day!
Well I must leave the post here for now as we are about to head out to dinner, but I’ll be back tomorrow (or maybe even later tonight) to show you some more of our wonderful trip.
